Doug Fischer

I currently live in Palm Desert, near Palm Springs, California, having left Seattle, Washington in 2000, where I was born and raised. A large selection of crayons and plenty of drawing paper always kept me preoccupied as a kid. From crayons, to colored pencils and ink markers, I attempted my first oil paintings after discovering the neighborhood art store at the age of eleven. For many years I explored acrylic painting and a whimsical style of landscape art influenced by years in Seattle, Palm Desert and a brief time in Hawaii. Always drawn to light and color, I began to explore and develop the more free-form style of abstract expressionism.
